081137 - On 950601 Bill DeHart and Rod Welch began detailed analysis for
081138 - initiating two events on communications.  During the meeting Ahmet was
081139 - called and he said to plan for 4 events, with the first one in Nov

081141 - Oakland on 950608 to launch the Event Program Team.

081143 - On 950608 Bill, Rod, Ahemt and Bob met in Oakland and developed a
081144 - proposal for submission to the PMI Board for a series of coordinated

081146 - This group was designated as the Event Program Team with Ahmet as the

081149 - On 950612 Ahmet submitted the Event Program proposal to the Board, ref

081152 - advised that a predicate to preparing a plan for a Nov event is
081153 - adoption of an Event Program Plan to guide planning for each event,
081154 - including the Nov event.   Rod requested that the Event Program Team
081155 - meet within two weeks to comment and approve the Event Program Plan

081158 - On 950612 following the PMI Board meeting, a draft plan was submitted

081160 - event.  Ahmet did not receive this submission due to failed delivery

081163 - On 950629 Bill DeHart and Rod Welch met in Antiock and began planning
081164 - for the Event Program, ref SDS 9 line 75, with emphasis on the Nov
081165 - event, ref SDS 9 line 676. Themes, content, speakers, location and
081166 - dates were determined.  Critical issue was assignment of Project
081167 - Managers ref SDS 9 line 474, and a project launch meeting to
081168 - coordinate among the 4 events, ref SDS 9 line 584. The results of this
081169 - meeting were submitted to Ahmet.

081171 - On 950706 Bill, Rod and Ahmet met.  Assignment of Project Managers was
081172 - deferred because consideration was given to coordinating with the PMI
081173 - Professional Development manager since the Event Program Plan included
081174 - 2 one day events and these were considered within the jurisdiction of
081175 - Professional Development, ref SDS 10 line 433. A meeting was scheduled
081176 - to accomplish this coordination.  Ahmet reported he did not receive
081177 - prior planning reports.  These were hand delivered after the meeting.

081180 - plans and found they are excellent ideas which he will support, ref

081183 - On 950719 Bill, Linda, Bob, Ahmet and Rod met in Oakland about
081184 - coordinating the Event Program theme with the Monthly Meeting program
081185 - theme.  The theme of transitioning from classical to modern project
081186 - management was voted for recommendation to the Board, ref SDS 15 line
081187 - 139.  There was no consideration of applying the prior two months
