0606 - Summary/Objective
0607 -
060701 - Follow up ref SDS 11 0000, ref SDS 9 0000.
060702 -
060703 - Failures occurred again today using FTP to upload files to our
060704 - server. The technical support line was broke, and FAQ on the Biztech
060705 - online technical support also failed. Problem was solved after about
060706 - 4 hours.
060707 -
060708 - [On 990207 contacted JPS about renewing service. ref SDS 12 0000]

0610 - Progress
0611 -
061101 - Throughout the day we have encountered failures by JPS to upload files
061102 - to the web site server.
061103 -
061104 - There is a message that says something like...
061105 -
061106 - Error with transferred files
061107 -
061108 - We are using ws_ftp pro, and after it returns the error message it
061109 - records a transfer log file on our hard disk, but the target files are
061110 - not on the server, such that no transfer actually occurred.
061111 -
061112 - I tried several different times throughout the day. On some
061113 - occassions, files that previously would not transfer, did successfully
061114 - transfer, but other files woule fail. Since the file transfer log is
061115 - created, ws_log, tt was very time consuming to figure out which files
061116 - transferred and which had to be sent again.
061117 -
061118 - Tried to call JPS technical support.
061119 -
061120 - Got message saying the system is running correctly, then was told to
061121 - hold for a technician, which is typical. However, there was then a
061122 - continuous beeping sound, rather than connection to a technician.
061123 -
061124 - This problem with calling JPS technical support has occurred a number
061125 - of times previously, see for example on 980321. ref SDS 1 4773
061126 -
061127 - I thought possibly we have begun to reach our server capacity of
061128 - 100MB, and this was causing the error.
061129 -
061130 - I tried JPS online technical support. There is nothing evident about
061131 - how to ask how much space we have left on our account.
061132 -
061133 - I tried FAQ for PCs but got a 404 error message that the page does
061134 - not exist.
061135 -
061136 - The FAQ for Macs had a long page of help, but nothing evident on how
061137 - to enquire about the amount of space left on the account, nor for the
061138 - particular error we are getting.
061139 -
061140 - I sent an email to Biztech asking about this problem and how much
061141 - space we have left.

0614 - 2012
0615 -
061501 - Tried calling JPS back.
061502 -
061503 - Got through this time.
061504 -
061505 - Talked to Kaymen.
061506 -
061507 - Explained problems. Kaymen asked me to hold.
061508 -
061509 - He came back online in about 20 minutes and said he has been talking
061510 - to the Biztech people. They have received my email and are
061511 - researching the problem.
061512 -
061513 - Kaymen said that there is a problem with the server for our account.
061514 -
061515 - Biztech will require several hours to fix it. He said we can try the
061516 - upload with FTP in about 2 hours.
061517 -
061518 - Kaymen said we have used only about 34M of our web space.

0618 - 2112 received letter from Biztech
0619 -
061901 - After hanging up received a letter through our IBM account, from Neal
061902 - K. with Biztech confirming Kaymen's explanation of their progress....
061903 - ref DRT 1 0000
061904 -
061905 - Neal said "fancy twiddling" was required, ref DRT 1 8388, to restore
061906 - service to our account, and he had to recover some space on the
061907 - server.
061908 -
061909 - This may indicate that the problem was not enough space for our
061910 - account was allocated on the server.
