Dear Morris,
On August 2, you asked for notice to contact Dave Vannier about Communication Metrics, and other issues you have pending. He was scheduled to return from sabbatical OA September 1, and so he may be available now.
We have been discussing support for the NSF proposal at Intel. The thought is that Dave may have an interest in this based on his letter dated April 22. Although at that time he advised he could not help, and suggested contacting you, the subsequent NSF proposal and his new assignment may change these dynamics. Maybe we can schedule a meeting to explore his ideas about "...where to take [Communication Metrics] from here?" Alternatively, Dave may be able to suggest other people at Intel to contact about this initiative.
