Dear Morris,
Confirming our discussion on the Communication Manager being a support role that extends the tradition of a scribe (today -- a TA, secretary) to capture the record of meetings, and so does not appear in the record. Credit for intelligence goes to leadership and attendees.
If time permits, take a look at Dan Palanza's Phase I Final report to NSF, as a cross-check on standard of review for an effective presentation to NSF. Just interested if you see some substance that I may be missing. Today, I received a letter from Dan. It seems somewhat positive, but I think he is using Common Administration differently from how Communication Metrics applies this idea, as noted in my letter to Dan.
I will call the first week in September about contacting Dave Vannier, per our discussion last night.
