| Subject: | SDS and Redundant Links Grow Culture of Knowledge |
Dear Peter,
Have not been able to keep with up with everything on OHS/DKR, but
have noticed letters from you on occasion that indicate a good
perspective on using technology for augmenting intelligence.
Recently, Gary Johnson developed some code to apply Doug's ideas for
linking, to SDS, and, as a result, I went ahead and incorporated some
added capability. A
letter to Gary
yesterday on
March 25, 2002 explains details and application.
..
For orientation, a redundant link to internal anchors is now added in
the record, and are visible as two underlined dots. This makes it a
little faster and easier for folks to connect the record by copying a
link, rather than working from memory. Gary, who is trying to work on
these issues at Boeing, indicates initial
promise of utility.
..
Sincerely,
THE WELCH COMPANY
