Subject:   Actionbase Support for Intellectual Capital?

Dear Michel,

Thanks very much for discussing Actionbase today. Focus on action items addresses the need to improve productivity in order to improve earnings essential to lift stock prices. There is a lot of demand for improving stock prices these days, which is a driving force for Actionbase at a time when industry is seeking a killer application.

Actionbase seems to use XML and Java, which are growing in popularity. For example, Steve Balmer reported on May 10, 2001 that Microsoft plans to use XML to improve productivity. Actionbase provides a good start.

Endorsements of Actionbase were impressive, and the Actionbase vision that says in part....

Dedicated to maximizing intellectual capital and improving business processes through connectivity and collaboration....

....sets a strong foundation. Experience seems to show that people need help investing intellectual capital to discover action items, which is why I asked how Actionbase is implemented by customers and folks at Actionbase.

In our call today, I asked about seeing some Actionbase work product. I tried the demonstration tab on your website, and it came up empty. Perhaps I overlooked something or just fumbled trying to use the computer somehow. In any case, Actionbase sets a course for a powerful enterprise management effort, which many businesses are seeking.

Thanks again for explaining Actionbase. I look forward to hearing from your team.

Sincerely,

THE WELCH COMPANY
