Dear Jo,
Per our telecon this afternoon, this confirms planning to meet with Curt on May 22 from 0900 to 1100 (probably won't take that long, but it is helpful to have a longer period, than to run out of time). Hopefully, Pat Lincoln will be available, and can join us to follow up the meeting he attended on January 22, 2001.
The purpose of the meeting on May 22 is to discuss Curt's review of POIMS, planned in the meeting on January 22, and to demonstrate SDS for implementing POIMS. This background will guide consideration of pilot testing SDS for supporting SRI management, discussed with Pat on January 11, 2001. Using SDS will save SRI time and money set out in the record for the meeting on January 22, and it provides experience for learning Knowledge Management (KM), which positions SRI to lead and develop value for SRI in this emerging field, by transitioning the world economy from reliance on information to a culture of knowledge, set out in the letter to SRI on October 11, 2001, and explained in POIMS.
As we discussed in our call today, would like a brief telecon with Curt this afternoon, tomorrow morning, or as soon thereafter as possible, to touch base on the above agenda, so that the meeting on May 22 is productive. Curt can reach me at 415 781 5700.
