700535 -    4.  Another idea is to stay in the VA hotel on campus at SF Med
700536 -        Center.  That's what we did for the heart project.  Mil drove
700537 -        us to SF in the afternoon; we had early dinner in the
700538 -        cafeteria.  Then I checked into the hotel, and she drove home

700540 -        would pick me up the next day about noon.  VA requires patients
700541 -        getting angiograms to stay overnight on site to report at 0700
700542 -        in the morning.  Well the angiogram got delayed a day, so I
700543 -        stayed 2 nights in the hotel [..actually stayed over the 2nd
700544 -        night in the hospital, because the next night Hoptel was

700546 -        "test" got converted into a heart project.

700549 -    5.  In any case, seems like we should be able to drive to SF VA Med
700550 -        Center the day of the test, stay overnight and then drive home
700551 -        after the 24 hour no-drive period expires.  The only problem
700552 -        with this is I'm sure Doctor Lee at VA in Martinez wants to do
700553 -        this procedure himself, rather than turn it over to the SF
700554 -        folks.

700557 -    6.  The woman I considered moving in with is not a choice for this
700558 -        task.  Since I didn't rent her room, pretty sure she would not

700562 -    7.  Think I mentioned Yanna has been removed from us, really since
700563 -        last January.  I've called a couple of times and talked briefly
700564 -        with Janna most recently about 3 weeks ago.  I think she may be
700565 -        having emotional problems of some kind.  I see her car in the
700566 -        car port every time I go out, which isn't often, but it
700567 -        suggests she has withdrawn.  Don't know for sure.  I can ask
700568 -        her if worse comes to worst.

700571 -    8.  This will get worked out someway.  I suspect others have driver
700572 -        problems, and so the VA has work arounds, like you are
700573 -        investigating.  They have come through on driver issues
700574 -        previously.  The VA drove me home from San Francisco, when I
700575 -        told them Millie was unable to come get me 3 weeks after heart
700576 -        surgery.  They had me in a wheel chair and with 2 cases of
700577 -        Ensure for 2 months.  Same thing for getting home after surgery
700578 -        for achalasia.  At first they said it was against policy to
700579 -        drive customers home on weekends, but then called and said they
700580 -        would do it.  By that time, Mil was already on the way, but at
700581 -        least they agreed to provide a ride.

700584 -    9.  So, tomorrow or Monday, Tuesday of next week is fine to get
700585 -        feedback on your inquiry.  The test is not until Dec 10th.
700586 -        Next week I'll write and present the issue to the VA based on
700587 -        evident options, and let them respond.  I think Doctor Lee will
700588 -        find a way to have to the test done in Martinez.  Somehow it
