- helpful. [...also reported on 101012 0757. ref SDS 1 294I...]

- 3. Initial functionality prevents working on the source file after
- opening the File List. Can File List be a diagnostic showing
- files added and removed during processing, similar to Windows
- Task Manager that tracks applications, and memory use?
- ..
- 4. As discussed, would like to move counters from debug to a
- separate window, and called from the menu bar , like the new

- 5. The File List menu function indicates today a new problem with
- purge command. SDS is launched by calling 04702, and once
- control is passed to the user, 04702 has an ending command...
-
- purge c:\sd33\04702
-
- [On 101103 0920 turned out that purge command is case
- senstive, and so conforming the case of the file string in
- 04702 enables purge in 04702 to purge itself. ref SDS 2

- ..
- 6. This has been working correctly up until yesterday, so
- something may have been done to purge. Not only does 04702
- show up on the file list, it is in the edit chain. [...shown in
- the record on 101012 0757. ref SDS 1 YB62
- ..
- 7. Did a test using just the editor. Opened another file, then
- did a purge from the initial file, and the object file was
- still in memory. Seems like something got changed for purge in
- what was done yesterday.

- 8. Java may enable us to eventually enhance Knowledge Management
- by displaying complete structures for subject accounts.
- Communication has a natural DNA-like organic structure that
- gets very complicated. Would like to move the mouse onto an
- account code and right click to display the underlying
- description from the Subject Index, similar to email programs
- that display the full subject description for a letter in the
- summary email list. This could make assigning subjects in
- Control Fields much more efficient. Right now, we can double
- click or press Enter with the cursor on a subject account, and
- this opens the SI to the account description. But it only
- displays the last element of a structure. The mouse over
- function might be able to display the entire structure for
- context management. This is probably on the list of "...if we
- live long enough, we'll get to it."
