040945 -    6.  I am also pleased to thank my doctors for standing by me all
040946 -        last year, when at times I felt cut off, fending for myself in
040947 -        the deep waters of big-time medicine.  Doctor Johnson at Kaiser
040948 -        has brought me through for 6 years.  Last year he was assisted
040949 -        by Doctor Rugo running clinical trials at UCSF.  They have
040950 -        fostered a strong doctor/patient partnership that helps meet
040951 -        the challenge of complexity and opportunism which drive up
040952 -        costs and threaten quality of care.

040956 -        encouragement, and letting me know how things are going at the
040957 -        office.  Staying engaged in the world, and involved with people
040958 -        is critical to fighting the ravages of disease, and the turmoil
040959 -        of treatment.  This last year has been a miracle, with minimal
040960 -        side effects of the wonder drug I am now getting.
