Advancing KMCI Role

Dear Ed,

Thanks very much for your time in our call today, and for helpful ideas on promoting Communication Metrics. Please submit any additions or corrections to the record.

The core idea of improving the alphabet offers a simple, direct way to add value, given that literacy is a strong component of civilization, as noted by a wide spectrum of academic, industry and government leaders who cited Gutenberg for having contributed the most to human progress in the past millennium. Since the alphabet is the engine of knowledge, improvement necessarily improves knowledge work and enterprise. Getting people to pause between meetings, calls and email long enough to, as Grove says, "get it," is the challenge.

KMCI's work under your leadership and vision provides a strong platform to meet this challenge. Following our call today, a few ideas occurred on furthering your mission, which are included in the record for consideration.

There is a web site that explains Com Metrics, including expert opinion and publications. However, the method can more readily be evaluated by clicking on a few links in this letter. They do not show how "intelligence" is generated, but do convey, for some, a direct sense of self-evident benefits. Feel free to share this letter with colleagues, and let me know your assessment when time permits.

Sincerely,

THE WELCH COMPANY
