Internet support virtual office |
Sally,
Concern in your letter this morning, dated July 15, 1999, that the Internet is too slow for busy people, shows another aspect of technology that needs attention in order to improve management. My letter has links to an article by Mark Haselkorn, who seems to be associated with NSF. Mark's article on technology needed to realize the goals of the virtual office to save time, and his background as a professor in communications, may be of interest. Mark agrees with your point that slow computers frustrate progress, and he sets out factors which make the goal attainable. It might be useful to review when things slow down a bit.
Sincerely,
THE WELCH COMPANY
