Status Web Server Capacity Review

Dear Bruce,


Your letter on March 21, 2000 advised that Ronnie Glenn is reviewing the status of our account toward ensuring we do not run out of space, as requested in my letter to JPS on March 21.

JPS has not responded; so, I am a bit concerned since you reported on March 4, that we had 90 MB usage and a limit of 100 MB on the server, rather than 150 MB indicated by our records. Do we need to expedite review in order to avoid past difficulties?

You might be interested in a project being considered by Stanford Research Institute (SRI) looking into developing a knowledge repository capability that supports enterprise management. Quite a few people are trying to develop this application. If it should succeed, there would be an explosion in demand for server space. The SRI people held their first project meeting last Friday. Seems like server vendors should be involved in this type of effort.
