Gensler, Michael Willis, Kwan Henmi
KH drawings are about 25% to 30% complete.
I was able to complete the redmarks for stairs 7 & 8. Lawrence was not able to complete the stair sections by the end of the week. Clonia said it was acceptable to paste-up my redmarks.
I was not able to sit with Clonia again to go over the partition types. At the last minute Clonia decided that the partitions were important to this printing because a cost estimate is being done. I took a pass at it and Janet imputed them. Mike and Phillip did the cores that they worked on.
Gensler's plotter system is proprietary. Is changing. Our machines are configured for windows 95, not windows NT (tues)
Clonia asked for a plot of the interior elevations.
One of the steel frames had been misplaced and she was furious. She even wrote a memo to Art Gensler. The problem was trivial and was a two minute fix.
We do not have time to check and correct drawings that she wants at the spur of the moment.
She blamed KH for the mistake - it may have been her designers mistake because he was working on them. In this case, it was an easy fix but, it took time away from something else and it created yet another time where everyone becomes a bit more hesitant to do work.
I had a short meeting with Clonia to discuss the Exterior Bid Package.
I foresee big problems with contractor coordination.
There will not be a single point of responsibility. For example, if the building leaks, who is responsible? I said it is a big mistake to make this two bid packages. There should be one package, and one source of responsibility. She said all that has been solved and should not be a problem. -- I'm not convinced.
