Subject:   Plan Meeting on SDS, Com Metrics Week of Dec 17

Dear Terry,

Thanks for offering in your letter today to schedule some time next week, responding to Doug's kind introduction.

As luck would have it, I am scheduled for jury duty next week, but chances are that I will not be called, based on past experience. If I am not impaneled on Monday, then the week is clear. I would like to go ahead and set something for Wed - Fri at your convenience, and if jury duty occurs, then we can re-schedule.

The purpose of the meeting is to explore nexus between education and advance in basic literacy using a technology I have developed called SDS, as explained in POIMS.

This entails integrating management, technology and cognitive science, as you will gather from POIMS (don't click on any links first time through, and if you do, don't go more than 2 levels before clicking back to resume the story).

In simplest terms, the underlying engine of civilization is alphabet technology that enables IT (meetings, calls, email, books, etc.). We want to move from information to a culture of knowledge, and believe that education is a vital enabling force. As well, we need input from experts like you.

We know this is a tough gig, per letter from professor Ransdell on July 16, 2000, but SDS makes it possible, so the responsible thing to do is to investigate how to grease the wheels of progress. Again education is critical.

If they are available, I would like Doug and Jack Park to attend, so by copy am letting them know of our discussion.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Happy holidays

Sincerely,

THE WELCH COMPANY
