Subject: | SDS Demonstrate new Features |
Dear Bill,
This confirms our meeting today. that demonstrated new features of SDS. You created several links in SDS records, and, also, linked documents to SDS records and to other documents, all by pressing Enter or double clicking. You, also, transferred SDS records and documents to the Internet with two clicks. These tasks require less than a second, essentially no noticeable time beyond that required to prepare daily communications, yet provide organization that enables SDS to improve productivity and earnings, which you discussed on July 9, 2000. Expanding use of SDS scales up the benefits of leveraging knowledge, discussed recently at SRI. While for many, "knowledge" is merely a marketing buzz word, we have seen from experience on the job, that SDS is a significant advance on Information Technology that justifies a more powerful description of "knowledge."
Therefore, I deeply appreciate your willingness see SDS today, and to consider pilot testing. Instructions for installation are in the record. I would only add, that we are both more experienced with the subtle and thorny challenges of Knowledge Management. This effort is purely experimental, and is not intended to in any way burden you, nor our friendship.
