Dear Andrius,
In your letter on March 20, 2000 you asked why I decided not to join MSL?
I would like SDS, Com Metrics and POIMS to stand alone. They seem to provide a path for technology to augment human thought processes, which is most easily understood as an advance on alphabet technology. The last time this happened was about 2,000 years ago. There is a body of writing, and people can experience the meaning of "intelligence" on the Internet, in order to assess the ideas. These resources can hopefully advance important work being done by others, including MSL.
I deeply appreciate your interest in my work, and remain open to collaborating with MSL on projects, and sharing ideas. A key need at this time is to continue
pilot testing Communication Metrics so that people can discover the benefits of adding "intelligence" to management, and that this saves a lot of money, as reported by the Corps of Engineers. My letter to the Colloquium at Stanford on March 17 suggested using seniors, most notably retired people, as one way to approach this. Perhaps members of MSL can contribute as well.I look forward to hearing your ideas.
Sincerely,
THE WELCH COMPANY
Rod Welch
