Subject:   SDS Evaluation for Management Support

Dear Rod,

SDS was very helpful on the Broadwater Power project in Montana. It organized the large amount of information that arises in project work, linked the daily "to-do" list to prior events, and quickly assembled thoughts, facts and documents, so issues were addressed comprehensively and accurately. SDS design, which you call POIMS, enabled us to quickly trace the sequence of events. We used this extensively to settle claims and disputes equitably, and without costly litigation.

SDS improved the quality of our work. For example, meeting agenda's and the record of meetings, calls and daily activity, which was prepared with SDS, made it possible to work issues to successful conclusion. The dual method of retrieving information by chronology and subject, produced perfectly formatted reports in seconds instead of days or weeks; and the SDS Document Log told us when a response was due and who was responsible for it.

We had just one person using SDS at Broadwater, and were impressed by how easy it was to support our managers. In sum, SDS helped us with a wide variety of critical management tasks, and I am enjoying the opportunity to become more proficient in its application, and use the SDS network capability to better implement our objective of people helping each other.

Sincerely,

SEAWEST INDUSTRIES
