Rod,
I read your response and followed up on a few of the links. I looked in particular at the action items you suggested :
C00411 - A simple first task might be to ask people like Grove, Shultz, C00412 - Kissinger, MacNamera, et al, about the need for intelligence to C00413 - improve daily work in government, business, education, health care, C00414 - and science, per the record on 940609. ref SDS 11 4238 C00415 - C00416 - Another step is to open a dialog with colleagues at Stanford and other C00417 - institutions about integrating management science and cognitive C00418 - science with technology, similar to the way Stanford is trying to C00419 - integrate management and engineering, reported on 000202. ref SDS 38 C00420 - 0001 These are both fairly distant for me. I have no contact with people like Grove, Kissinger, etc. and wish you the best if you want to try to get through to them.I am not in a position to be a gateway to people in areas of management and other such fields at Stanford. Again, if you want to get into a dialog with them, that is great. I would suggest pursuing connections in the Department of Management Science and Engineering, noted in your link. Their research programs have much more overlap with your organizational interests.
Best wishes for the New Year.
