Subject:   MBNA Offer to Settle Disputes
Account #5329 0311 6100 4195

Dear Kelly,

Thanks very much for ideas we discussed today, including your letter on November 27, 2000, to settle disputes on this account, #5329 0311 6100 4195.

Your letter on November 27 makes reference in a Post Script to credit agencies, but the text in the Post Script uses very small print that is difficult to read. A uniform print will help ensure that important information in MBNA correspondence is considered.

Attached are comments (see line 061402) on your settlement proposal, and our discussions today. After you have reviewed the record, please call so we can finalize arrangements.

Please note from the few documents (see line 060621) provided today with this letter that the record is becoming burdensome, causing complexity, errors and delay. We have previously asked that MBNA use email and the Internet to improve handling of daily working information, so we can get more done with greater accuracy, and at less time and expense. For example, where you see in this letter and in attachments, highlighted text, you could access those references immediately by clicking or pressing enter, rather than shuffle through a lot of papers. While an explanation in this printed media does not convey the benefit, MBNA's experience with e-business solutions illustrates the advantages. My email address is...

rowelch@attglobal.net.

Just send me a short note at that address, and that will provide a return email address to expedite our efforts. You can continue to submit printed and signed correspondence to ensure finality of agreements.

MBNA's good faith in aggressively resolving disputes, and the bank's courtesy in working through current cash flow issues is deeply appreciated. Our aim is to resolve disputes fairly, and quickly so the account can continue on a regular footing, as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Rod Welch
