Thanks for your call this evening. I share your frustration trying to find a simple way to explain the benefits of intelligence, to busy people. On April 13, Caltrans focused on the diary feature to explain benefits to senior management. Possibly their approach will help you. In any case, if you care to submit comments on the NSF proposal, that will help practical folks understand it, I will try to incorporate your input. The key section is part 2 of the Technical Proposal: Identificaton and Significance of the Innovation.
