091201 - Bill read and offered some edits for the evaluation draft. He also
091202 - read Tom Keesling's letter, received today at ref SDS 4 line 152.

091206 -
091207 - Bill offered following edits:
091208 -
091209 - He suggests including the idea of investing "Intellectual Capital"
091210 - which is primarily set out in the POIMS paper, but may be in the
091211 - NWO paper as well.
091212 -
091213 - He has the word "understanding" underlined in the Summary at ref OF
091214 - 2 line 36, but did not explain his idea. Bill stated several times
091215 - while reading the draft that the summary is effective.
091216 - ..
091217 - He asks if the reference to a meeting on 961113, ref OF 2
091218 - line 123, is supported by the record, including the quote about
091219 - "easy diggings" ref OF 2 line 137. We looked this up in the diary
091220 - for 961113. ref SDS 1 0004
091221 -
091222 - I need to clarify "easy diggings" as a characterization.

150601 - Scan Support for Logo
150602 -
150603 - We scanned the logo for his wife's (Merle) firm.
150604 -
150605 - It is coming as an entire page, rather than just the zone for the logo
150606 - image, and there is no apparent means to capture just the graphic,
150607 - nor to peal off the other stuff.
150608 -
150609 - I was able to load the graphic file into a Word file, but it has all
150610 - the other stuff on the face of the brochure, besides just the logo,
150611 - which is what is wanted.

1509 - 1428 called Caere talked to Ritta
1510 -
151001 - Turns out we do not use Omnipage for this task, but use Deskscan
151002 - which came with the Scanjet IIc. Omnipage does graphics, but is
151003 - mainly intended for capturing text.
151004 -
151005 - I was able to get it to load into a Word file, but it still has the
151006 - surrounding color, which should be white, but is a beige.
151007 -
151008 - Was able to create a file with just the logo, including the
151009 - identification text below it, which is really a graphic.
151010 -
151011 - Called and left a message I was able to do this.
151012 -
151013 - I was able to edit the image a little bit to try improving the
151014 - background and to sharpen the image. Opened the file in Windows
151015 - Paintbrush, zoomed it to a larger image and then did the editing.
151016 -
151017 - It is a fair amount of work to remove all of the haze in the
151018 - background, and to avoid deleting some of the image. Had to restore
151019 - some of it.
