060822 - I gave Ron an SDS brochure, and showed him the paper on "Automated
060823 - Management in the 21st Century," the section on "Command and Control
060824 - of the Record."  He feels Honeywell can use this capability.

060826 - Ron mentioned a number of Honeywell projects that have lost money due
060827 - to disputes. He indicated that if they could capture the record
060828 - efficiently and get it back when needed, this would have helped avoid
060829 - the losses.  On one job they installed a chiller.  He believes the
060830 - chiller was working properly, but they were ordered to remove it on
060831 - the grounds that it did not work. After considerable effort by 5
060832 - people, they were able to piece together the record from meeting notes
060833 - extending over many months, showing that each step of construction was
060834 - approved.  With SDS, this would have taken less than a minute.

060838 - Ron said construction "people" are "picture" people -- they want to
060839 - see what happened. He feels AT&T's Picaso picture transferring
060840 - technology would be helpful to have integrated with SDS.
