051001 - Subject Index
051002 -
051003 - Jeff said he has begun to use this feature.
051004 -
051005 - He needed to know how to use the "m" function to organize the SI in
051006 - the alphabetical order. We do not have a function to move a single
051007 - line in the SI, so I explained how to "m" in the command window.
051008 -
051009 - Jeff wanted to know how to changed the SI structure of a body of data
051010 - once it has been assigned over a period of time. I explained we can
051011 - easily change correspondence and other files such as Lotus spread-
051012 - sheets, because they exist under a particular dir structure, and this
051013 - can be changed using the Subject Index tools, see Help.
051014 -
051015 - SDS archived diary records can be changed easily one record at a time,
051016 - but this is a time consuming job, if there are lot of records. I
051017 - asked him to send me the records he wants to change and I will create
051018 - a macro to do it. Will then make a function for this that can be
051019 - used regularly.

0513 -
051301 - He needed to know about the "*" to make more than one name appear in
051302 - the Summary.
051303 -
051304 - He could not get the direct phone number to show up in the Summary.
051305 - Turned out he was not using Alt F2 to update the Summary when he made
051306 - changes. I referred him to Help. [Curiously many users will spend
051307 - hours getting frustrated then angry trying to figure out something
051308 - that Help explains in 10 seconds; but, they will not look at Help.]
051309 -
051310 - Jeff likes the new Summary design. He feels it will be very helpful
051311 - to him in quickly getting the information he needs to contact vendors
051312 - and clients.

0519 -
0520 - Insufficient memory
0521 -
052101 - He has gotten this message a few times using Lotus and Wordperfect.
052102 -
052103 - I really do not know why this should be occurring, now that we are
052104 - using the new program design. I have not had an "out of memory"
052105 - message since October, when the new design was adopted. Possibly he
052106 - is making some very large SDS records, but the ones I have examined
052107 - that he sent a few weeks ago, do not show this.
052108 -
052109 - I noticed that he is making his Schedule Summary extend to the end of
052110 - the year, which makes it about 25K, but he has no records larger than
052111 - 5K, so this does not indicate a basis for him to run out of memory.
