040905 - The hotel was recently renovated, and so Bod and Mother wanted to see
040906 - the improvements, after visiting here for dinner a few years ago.

040909 - Bob seemed well.  Mother looked wonderful; she is moving very slowly
040910 - now, and is quite thin.  Bob mentioned recently that Mother is using a
040911 - walker at home.  Today pain from arthritis is reduced, because she got
040912 - a treatment about a week ago, and it has now begun to kick in.

040915 - Bob said that Patty had to put their dog Baily down, due to failing
040916 - health.  Pablito is still in India training a group to perform

040920 - Bob was a little emotional remembering when he had to put one of their
040921 - two dogs down, this was about 10 - 15 years ago.  A few years later,
040922 - when Bob was out of town, their other dog had to be put down, and
040923 - mother had to handle alone.  She drove to the vet, and they dispatched
040924 - some staff to take of this for mother, but remembering this again
040925 - today was diffcult from telling us about Patty and Pablito losing

040929 - After breakfast, we drove to Mother and Bob's place in Nipomo.

040932 - Bob has done a great job setting up the waterfall.  It looks pretty
040933 - good in the backyard, with a grove of trees in the background, which
040934 - Bob planted a few years ago.  He is still not satisfied with the
040935 - arrangement of the decrative rocks, and plans to work on changing this

040939 - Millie and Bob worked in the garden for awhile.  Bob has a lot of
040940 - tomatoes and squash this year.  His neighbor gave them a lot avacados,
040941 - so Bob packed a bunch for us to take home.  Tomorrow morning, Millie
040942 - will pick some onions to take with us also, along with tomatoes and
040943 - squash.

040946 - Robin called in the afternoon.  She has plans to visit a county faire,
040947 - and there is another event on her schedule today.  Talking to Robin is
040948 - a big boost for Millie, following up their visit a few months ago on

040952 - We had a chance to play with the dog.  Bob normally hits the ball
040953 - with a bat, but he also has a great arm throwing the ball for Thelma

040957 - Bob drove us to a waterfall sales shop.  They had some terrific
040958 - designs that give Bob ideas for constructing his waterfall and garden
040959 - at home.  He also got information on how to repair defects and
040960 - imending cracks in his waterfall equipment, using cement and
040961 - coloration elements.  We drove two cars, so that Thelma could ride
040962 - with Bob.  After we looked around a bit, Millie said she had to go
040963 - back to the car, because she cannot be out in the sun for long while
040964 - getting chemotherapy.  Bob suggested that Millie stand in the shade,
040965 - and let the dog out of the car, so she can run around.  Millie said
040966 - she cannot control the dog.  Bob said that Thelma will stay near
040967 - Millie and the car.  The next thing we heard was Millie yelling for
040968 - Bob that the dog was running away, and we say Thelma having ducked
040969 - uner a fence and was heading out into a big open field.  Bob called
040970 - Thelma, and she came running back to him in the waterfall display
040971 - area.   Bob got Thelma, and we headed home.  Mother missed most of the
040972 - excitement by staying in the car.

040975 - Back home, Bob asked what eveyone wants for dinner.  He suggested
040976 - chicken.  Mother wanted spagetti.  Millie suggested a salad to go with
040977 - the spagetti.  Bob proposed having a vegitable salad, and garlic
040978 - bread.  With menu set, Bob and Thelma went to the store for the

040986 - Back from the store, Millie helped Bob prepare dinner.  They had a
040987 - good talk about Millie's working hours reduced now to 3 days a week,
