050506 - Mother was sleeping when we arrived, but Bob was already up and had
050507 - coffee brewing.  Millie and I had stopped at Vons and bought some

050511 - Bob told us more about the travails of their recent vacation to
050512 - Hawaii.  Mother got up soon, and she showed Millie the shirts they
050513 - brought back from Hawaii -- two (2) for Millie and one (1) for me.

050516 - Mother was tired through the day, and was complaining of pain in her
050517 - back.  A few days ago she fell in the bedroom and hit her head on the
050518 - bed post.  Her back was hurt worse.  Bob took her to the doctor, and
050519 - they did some tests, which showed there were no serious injury,
050520 - nothing broken or strained that required treatment.  Still mother was
050521 - in pain if she moved the wrong way, including standing up and sitting
050522 - down.  She slept for most of the day in the big chair that Bob usually
050523 - uses in the living room.  Millie, Bob and I watched a ball game and

050527 - Bob went out for awhile and threw the ball for their dog, Thelma.

050530 - About 1400, Bob suggested we go for a walk through the neighbhood.  We
050531 - took Thelma on a leash for about a quarter mile, until we turned off

050533 - residential streets.  There is one stretch that overlooks a valley
050534 - from a high bluff, and this was an enjoyable view.

050541 - sprinkerhead that was damaged when he mowed the lawn recently.

050544 - We came up with about 4 or 5 ideas for dinner.  There was
050545 - consideration of a barbque.  Millie and I suggested we would get some
050546 - steaks and maybe make potatoe salad.  Bob suggested going to to dinner
050547 - at a local restaraunt that specializes in spare ribs.  Millie thought
050548 - that was a great idea, but Mother didn't feel she could go out

050552 - Bob finally went to Vons and bought some chicken and fixings for a
050553 - salad.  Millie put some things together in the kitchen, and we all
050554 - enjoyed a nice meal together.
