- ..
- Summary/Objective
-
- Follow up ref SDS 18 0000.
-
- Developed ideas for a letter to agree on John's participation in SDS
- to learn and use the program. John came by about 1000 and knocked at
- the door. I was upstairs and didn't hear him. He called using his
- cell phone, but I was talking to S&C Ford when John called and so he
- could not get through. I called John about 1210. He explained having
- been here and that since I didn't answer the door, he lef to run some
- errands. We finally me after lunch, and reviewed the ideas in the
- draft agreement letter to John. ref SDS 0 4J5I John wants to give
- this more thought. He asked me to send the letter and we can work on
- it over the next few days. There is plenty of disk space on John's
- computer for SDS. He likes the current configuration of partitions
- that has a c and d drive. This does not support the development set,
- so I will try to make up a version of SDS that will run on the c
- drive. I did this for years to support Wayne Wetzel's home computer
- up in Montana, but it takes extra time. I have not run the c version
- for a year or more, so hopefully this will work okay.
-
- ..
- Submitted ref DIT 1 0001 linked to this record to confirm our
- understandings, including notifying John that the SDS program is now
- ready to install on his computer.

-
- Prepared ref DIT 1 0001 to set out the objectives and conditions for
- John to use SDS. During the meeting today, we reviewed and agreed on
- the following....
-
- 1. This confirms our understandings about installing SDS on your
- computer for use and evaluation in exchange for your support to
- market and improve SDS. Following our meeting, I completed a
- version of SDS to install on your computer. Please call to
- schedule this installation.
-
- 2. We will install the Schedule Diary System (SDS) software
- program on your computer without charge to you in exchange for
- evaluation comments you can offer, and for the purpose of
- posting SDS records on the Internet that demonstrate SDS work
- product with unique capabilities for creating and using
- explicit links to POIMS, NWO, Cost Reports and other

- to experience and associate unique features of SDS with the
- explanation of those features that foster a culture of
- knowledge, ref OF 4 7055, and, further to allow you to
- demonstrate the SDS program and work product to potential
- customers with the objective of selling the SDS program as a
- product or selling consulting services using the SDS program.
- An example of a scope of services, ref DRP 4 4929, using SDS is
- in the report published by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
- dated March 28, 1997. It is understood that you have been
- developing and may develop other specific uses for SDS which
- may result in various consulting arrangements to meet the needs
- of customers. If a sale should result from your efforts, terms
- and conditions of the sale will be negotiated separately.

- Eugene has strong credentials for this project with the
- skills and experience to address the subject. He wrote on
- 001126 that SDS can be accomplished using information
- technology with greater diligence. ref SDS 7 QW8I No one
- has accomplished this suggestion, noted by Grant Bowman that

- Henry is looking for a writer. Eugene Kim, Jack Park have been
- considered. Another person who might work is Gary Johnson,
- who has expressed interest in writing, and is now gaining

- John's computer has 40GB hard drive which is ample. He is running
