Subject:   Win2k issues Using SDS

Dear Rod,

There are a couple of problems with SDS on my Win2k system:
..
== Mouse doesn't work ==

I cannot select items or position the cursor using the mouse. I get a cursor square at the correct position, but SDS doesn't recognize it. So far no luck using the Win2k help files to find the problem.

This, of course, introduce major usability problems.
..
== Help system problem ==

Ctrl+F10 results in:

Cursor not on a valid line

..
I expect a path problem, but I thought I had my system from home, so ...

I can't seem to find the help files, and don't remember the directory. I will check on that at home. It looks like my problem.
..
== Adding Subject Entries ==

I can add a subject entry (using the keyboard). F2 didn't sort the control records.
..
Using from the 0303 line *does* refresh the subject headings. I had a problem with it earlier.
..
From the SDS entry:

Subject Organize Doesn't
..
It took a bit to figure out that the mouse won't position the cursor although it appears to do so.
..
I added a subject to the record, did a save to reorder the lines, and tried to get the descriptions correct. The double underline wasn't placed after the subjects.
..
I tried to enter the double line but couldn't remember how, so I tried the help files. They wouldn't display. I get a 'cursor not on a valid line' error. I entered the line using copy and paste. I need to bring in the SDS.knt file -- it should be here.
..
== Look at 'start' commands ==

in 06080:
..
dose /c i:\00\02\system32\cmd.exe /C start /min c:\sd\01\070405.bat

Possibly some paths wrong in the compiled e.exe? I didn't rebuild it at home, so this version is from you.

Thanks,
..
Sincerely,
