Dear John,
Thanks for the list of attentees at the KMCI meeting on December 17. My letter on December 20 mentions an objective to discuss collaboration opportunities based on the KMCI meeting. Subsequent discussion with Doug Engelbart on December 22 indicates he is thinking along similar lines to form alliances through the Colloquium beginning on January 6, for marketing KM capabilities. The paper Doug asked me to review points to the need for pilot testing specific KM solutions, which aligns with objectives listed for next year, from the KMCI meeting last week. I would like to discuss collaborating on approaching PeopleSoft and Kaiser Medical, as two specific opportunities. I'll call tomorrow to follow up.
Concerning your point about the requirement to use MS Media Player, there is a Gates Classroom A under General SCPD Contacts, suggesting Microsoft or Gates' personal funds support the SCPD program. Perhaps Bill read Doug's paper and is using the Colloquium to pilot test Media Player.
