About the San Francisco & Silicon Valley KMCI Chapter

The SF/SV Chapter was formed in early 1999. It represents the greater San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley. The purpose of the SF/SV Chapter of the KMCI is to enable and sponsor a Bay Area cluster of Knowledge Management (KM) practitioners, executives, academics and researchers. Our mission is to fundamentally advance the art and science of KM & collaboration and its application to business. This is accomplished with local chapter events to share knowledge, expand collaboration and by sustaining a community of people drawn from local businesses and institutions.

The density of expertise in the Bay Area makes our region one of richest KM clusters in the country. Chapter Meetings occur quarterly, at various locations throughout the Bay Area. By helping shape a Bay Area value network of KM practices, people and processes, the SF/SV KMCI can improve and enhance the productivity growth and competitiveness of local members and collaborators.
