Dear Morris,
Here is an actual Phase I Final report by the contact in Boston, that Sally Nerlove at NSF facilitated.
There is strong emphasis on mathamatical jardon, without evident purpose, since they ultimately say the original goal to produce an actual bookkeeping system was not met, and they are moving in another direction - toward a general management system.
There are some interesting ideas on binary structures, and the origins of bookeeping.
There is some possible correlation to Communication Metrics.
