Dear Morris,
Thanks very much for ideas this evening on commercial issues related to the NSF proposal. The commercial aspect requires finding a partner who can provide business support. Based on your experience launching Chips, and support for SDS, you would be ideal for this, if you had time and interest. At this early stage, it does not require a lot of time.
As I mentioned, Tom Landauer cannot perform the review, nor facilitate contact with Steve Pinker, who is listed along with you in my letter on June 16. I called Dave Vannier's number, per your suggestion. He is on leave until August 30. I left a message for his backup Maria Chambers. In the meantime, can you make some inquires to find someone for
reviewing the NSF proposal based on the criteria we discussed this evening? The focus of review will be Part 2: Identification and significance of the innovation. I will call NSF about the level of effort and schedule for the review process.Thanks again for your support.
