Subject:   Case Study - Networks Unreliable
Redundancy Essential to Avoid Risk of Bumbling

Dear Bruce,

Per our discussion this evening, the record of problem transaction on December 21 may be helpful for case study. Thanks very much for your support.

If time permits, you or colleagues may be interested in a couple of recent issues...

  1. On December 17 the Knowledge Management Consortium held an event at PeopleSoft in Pleasanton.

  2. Analysis on November 8 shows social pressures in the work place suppress literacy, with consequent loss of productivity, absent proactive efforts to add intelligence to management.

  3. On January 6 the Stanford Center for Professional Development will broadcast a course conducted by Douglas Engelbart, Ph.D., on the... Unfinished Revolution. Attendance at Stanford is closed, but the class is free and can be viewed online. Engelbart's biography shows he has been a prolific inventor and pioneer in the computer industry for 40 years. Doug's paper on using technology effectively for Intelligence Collection is also reviewed.

Sincerely,

THE WELCH COMPANY
