Dear Morris,
Eric Armstrong is the lead technical engineer for the SRI "seed" team. He submitted today a serious effort to describe requirements for editor to support a dynamic knowledge repository. In a separate letter, Eric says the objective is to develop capability that augments "intelligence." It seems to me like the editor design ideas, while comprehensive and useful, does not reflect a foundational theory of intelligence and knowledge that guides what needs to be programmed. But, maybe I am missing something. Do you see anything here that can improve SDS for delivering "intelligence" on the Internet, as explained in Communication Metrics?
