Subject:   SDS Program Update

Dear Wayne,

Congratulations on your new assignment. Hope many good things come from this opportunity.

As we discussed today, there is an updated version of SDS on the Internet, called 01.zip, along with a file, install.bat, to install the update, at the following location....

http://www.welchco.com/10

Download these files with the FTP program to your computer on c:\sd\10, or in 09, 10, i.e., an empty directory. Change to that directory, and run the install batch operation.

After downloading these two (2) files and running installation, verify the program is working correctly. If so, please delete the program files from the web, or let me know, so I can do it.

Let me know if there is a problem with installation.

Links are created by pressing F5 or double clicking at a location where you want a link entered, and then pressing Enter or double clicking anywhere on the line you want linked.

When F5 or double clicking is used to mark the location, a flag shows up by changing Quit=ESC to "Linking" and changing the color to red. When a link is completed the color is restored and the linking sign is turned off. If you change your mind after turning linking on, you can turn it off by pressing Ctrl F5, or by pressing F5 or just double clicking again on the location where the mark for linking was set.

Hope this works.

There is some recent discussion in the record for November 5, 2001 on possible advantages of linking. If time permits, would like to see if you concur that SDS makes linking fast, easy and fun?

Happy holidays.

Sincerely,

THE WELCH COMPANY
