Gensler, Michael Willis, Kwan Henmi
We are continuing to revise the plans (see stair plans below). The consultants will not have time to make their updates by next week's printing. In addition, there will be a few other floor plan changes that the Consultants will not be aware of until the printing. We are trying to get the Elevator equipment room plans on the Plans.
Ivan marked up the latest design from Gensler and Laurance put it into the Plans. They went out on Tuesday.
To coordinate vertical conduit run locations.
Coordination
I was not able to complete the redmarks for all the stairs (#'s 7 & 8 were not marked). Laurance got the Plan backgrounds done for the stairs except for stairs 7 & 8, then moved to the reflected ceiling plans.
Clonia informed me that the fire department connection locations have changed @ the Minna Street side. Laurance was aware of the change and was making the corrections.
Clonia did not like the way the floor plans were numbered (counter- clockwise), so Janice re-numbered them clockwise.
I met with Clonia and started putting the wall type tags on the plans. Our meeting was interrupted (we didn't finish) with a meeting with the waterproofing consultant and Steve (of MW). At the end of the day, Mike said he will put the wall type tags on the cores that he worked on. I will continue to mark the Plans with Clonia.
I was informed by Clonia that the City wants a Bid Package for the Movable Partitions. She said it will be due 12/21/98.
ON HOLD:
I brought Clonia a "sample" of the interior wall of a main meeting room (Monday). She complained that the notes from DD had been removed and that she wanted them back. These drawings had the finish symbols on them but not all the notes. She had a meeting the next day at 9:00 and wanted all the plans. We agreed that KH did not have time to add all the notes and revise the panels to match the DD drawings.
Three things were to be done:
Change the elevation title from east to west (because it was wrong).
Remove the ceiling at the ground floor, and
Remove the heavy horizontal line at the second floor.
She wanted the Elevations because she wanted her designer to take another look at them.
We are studying the steel layouts to coordinate the mechanical ducts above the meeting rooms.
Other than that, I told Clonia that we will not do any more work on the elevations until she is comfortable with the design.
We know the doors have moved because the plans have been updated.
Ivan and I discussed the door widths (along Minna Street) with Clonia.
She wants...
The Pre-Function Room Escalators are not consistent on our drawings. Clonia wanted them separated (1'-0") per the DD drawings. (The escalator consultant is showing them tight, together.) Mike studied the issue and marked up the Plans and ceiling plans.
I was reading Clonia's meeting notes from her meeting with the Civil engineer (from last week). I questioned the decision to reduce the curb width to 12". She wanted the road width to be as large as possible. I said the trucks would hit the building if the curb was reduced from 30" to 12".
She agreed and said we do not have to change the ramp curb widths.
Clonia wants curbs around all the toilet rooms. I said that they were unnecessary and expensive, but she wanted them anyway. Details to be done.
Ivan and I informed Clonia that a 3hr fire separation is needed between the Basement Loading Dock and the Ground Floor Exhibit space.
Janice had been working on changing the door numbers when Clonia directed her to do an elevation of the wall at Grid F.
