  1. JV team requested clarification on building movement at the property line at the existing mechanical building.

  2. Penetrations (for mechanical ducts) through structure at Brace line B were discussed. A&P confirmed (via phone conversation with IR during meeting) that 2'- 11" clear is not sufficient space for their ducts. SDE will lower bottom members of engaged trusses 6" min.

    Issue being finalized by A&P. Alan currently coordinating/verifying.

  3. All parties discussed framing concepts for the Howard Street entry plaza.

    SDE suggests extending basement walls to perimeter of plaza stairs.

    After additional discussion at the September 24 meeting, this option was agreed upon by all parties.

    At 10/1/98 meeting, SDE and FBA still coordinating.

  8. JV team and SDE reviewed framing at mechanical shafts on Minna Street. SDE would like to relocate framing to grid lines or slightly off center (within the flange of the column).

  9. With Paoletti present, SDE and JV team verified the thickened slab is required over the chiller room for sound dampening.

    Electrical floor boxes, currently sheet metal should be concrete, similar to plumbing boxes

    Thickened slab issue not resolved. Verification of required weight, with Paoletti, still to occur.(150 vs. 75 psf.)

    CC sent letter to RJA for code/fire rating interpretation.

    (10/8 meeting): CC and JA to resolve slab thickness with Paoletti

    SDE suggested at 10/8 meeting that slab thickness shown currently in design may be in excess of what is required.

  11. FBA provided a detail illustrating the transition between the sandwich slab and the composite mat and topping slab.

    JV team will create plan diagram showing extent of sandwich slab vs. composite slab.

    Above information to be used in generating a cost study of the proposed alternate.

  12. FBA proposed options for clarifying the support of the north pre-function window wall. Connections between the window wall frame and the gravity column will be slotted.

  13. Currently there is no direction structurally for the exterior wall near the existing mechanical building.

    JV team provided scheme for enclosure in 25% documents.

  14. Thermal expansion, related to the 100 degree figures provided by A&P, would translate to 2 «" of building "expansion" over the full width of the building (along 4th Street).

    FBA recommends thermal joints where structural systems change.

    Due to refinement in "installation time" and temperature controls, FBA does not believe additional expansion will need to be designed into the glazing.

    The structure is able to handle the expansion (1 ¬").

    JV team will consider recommendation and respond.

    FBA to confirm 100 degree variation. (94 degree variation in EXPOSED conditions only.)

  15. JV team to provide SDE with proposed damper relocations for SDE incorporation.
