| Subject: | Resubmit letter to Ron on Sam Lawson |
|
|
Ron called on Saturday, May 22, and left a message that I can use your email address to re-submit a letter originally sent on May 1, concerning our telephone discussion on that date. The original submission had bounced back, so I called, and you clarified Ron's email address at the office (thanks again, very much). I submitted the letter, again, and it has not bounced back, so perhaps it was successfully delivered. Since Ron gave your email address as an alternate, I am sending the original letter once more today, to your email address.
This form of correspondence uses web pages, rather than email per se. Email is used to link into the web environment. The letter is intended to be read online, so there is access to links that provide background, context and follow up.
Printing the letter for reading off-line is awkward to figure out how much history to print. Reading online lets the reader decide how far to go, and to find out what happened after the letter was written, on the matters discussed. For example, the letter to Ron is linked to more detailed notes of our discussion. The notes are linked to applicable history, emulating the mind's ability to trace related events. Another example is the link to a discussion with Richard Popejoy on May 21, several weeks after Ron and I spoke, that relates to our discussion on May 1.
Hope this is not too confusing. Just click on the links to open referenced information. But, don't follow 2nd level links too far, because they go forever, just like your memory.
All the best to you and Ron.
Sincerely,
THE WELCH COMPANY
Rod Welch
