Dear Gary,
Thanks for your letter with links to a location with files showing how you have
added links directly to anchors in order to facilitate capturing the link
address, applying Eugene Kim's description of "Purple Numbers."

Now that I see what you are doing, my sense is that this doesn't look great,
but the additional links add usefulness. This makes
Knowledge Space,
as set
out in POIMS slightly easier for people to apply quickly. Facile application
is important.

The thing I am most impressed with is your initiative and
determination to use various ingredients, and some how, some way add
value, rather than just sit back and wait for lightening to strike.

The next thing that impresses me is that you have recognized a
powerful idea about building a DKR. You are not waiting around to
rely on somebody else. Each of us are responsible for managing
whatever material we rely on to take action. SDS provides a fairly
simple way to do this, but it does not intend that Rod's records on
the Internet are to be relied on by anyone else, rather other folks,
like Rod, need a way to grab up and cast in stone what Rod or anybody
else sends out and preserve it to the extent it influences action.
Why not just rely on Rod's stuff? Because it may go away tomorrow or
next year. But the need to understand causation continues.

So, you have taken Rod's stuff and processed it just like Rod does to
everything else, then you can cite it as you wish to support the
action you take and urge others to take. I am pretty sure that is the
way human memory works, and you have demonstrated on dynalt how to
augment that process to avoid meaning drift.

It is a very big step.
Anyway I am grateful you are fussing around with SDS, struggling to refine and advance a core set of capabilities.
Look forward to your letter after this weekend on correlating scope
services for Com Metrics with your Boeing experience, per your other
letter this evening.
