SDS and POIMS Inquiry

Dear Doug,

We just received a letter today that is nearly screaming for Com Metrics from having bumped into SDS records on the Internet. We have been getting 2 to 3 unsolicited inquiries like this every couple months for the past year or so, indicating there are people who grasp the advantage of adding intelligence to information, as seen from the record on September 7, 2001.

The problem I have found is that nobody has allies to discuss and foster broader awareness in the organization. We just have isolated bright stars, like the person who writes in today. It takes study and experience using SDS to be able to go to the boss and explain how adding intelligence improves earnings.

Anyway, just wanted you to know it is not all bleak. The sun is trying to break through.

Thanks again for your help at Stanford today.

Sincerely,

THE WELCH COMPANY
