Thanks for arranging the meeting today with John Murray.

Per your request while driving back from the meeting, there are several links to USACE reports. One is to welchco.com publications that lists POIMS, which John indicated he would review. An abstract summarizes ideas presented in each paper showing a coherent theory and theme that binds this work. The reports issued by USACE are near the bottom of this page........

There is a scope of services in the USACE report that explains using SDS for Com Metrics may give John some guidance on his question about what the "knowledge analyst" does.......

A follow up memo to HQUSACE seven (7) months later explains cost savings.....

Again, good progress today even though John Murray initially said they are not thinking about SDS for Land Warrior; he later indicated it is something that should be considered. So, we shall see what develops.

Incidentally, a Cal Tech seminar on 921021 discussed issues arising from the kind of problems John described today having faced, as part of the NASA Space Shuttle Control Room team.....
