Communication Biggest Risk in Enterprise |
Dear Debbie,
On Christmas eave, you mentioned spending a lot of time lately solving problems when shipments reach US soil. This reflects a growing phenomenon where communication is becoming the biggest risk in enterprise, explained in analysis on the high cost of medical mistakes. The high risk of error recently led President Clinton to announce a national initiative to cut medical mistakes. However, the risk of error is much higher in business and governemnt. Management is imploding in a morass of
problem handling. If you have time, a Colloquium on the Unfinished Revolution will be conducted at Stanford beginning on January 6 (tomorrow). It will explain how information technology causes management mistakes, and what needs to be done to fix it. A series of classes will be broadcast via Internet. There is no charge for downloading the video. You and/or your colleagues can view the classes live, or retrieve the video at any convenient time to review.
Sincerely,
Rod
