A big challenge in knowledge management is formulating applications and then finding opportunities to test them in real world environments to see if they improve earnings and productivity, as for example the "alphabet" does. Most people don't think of the alphabet as a business system, because they already know it when they arrive on the job.
The alphabet is a tool that definitely adds value to a great deal of human activity, including business.
I don't see how adding intelligence to information necessarily improves the alphabet. It's too vaguely stated that way. Perhaps you can improve the alphabet by adding "intelligence" to its letters. But intelligence is the ability to learn. So, are you proposing symbols that learn? Rod Welch wrote:
Which requirement, the opprtunity to test, fail, revise and test some somemore? If so, KM certainly supports this in its cyclical on-going knowledge production process. See my White Paper at http://www.dkms.com/EKMDKMS.html.
