Thanks for sending me a copy of your intriguing intellectual exercise, apparently a response to a previous article by one John Bing. I read your well- conceived thoughts with considerable interest.
I found myself in agreement with some of your comments, particularly that people reach out for information without recognizing the need for the creation of more knowledge. If I must select a villain for this undeniable process of the day, I would choose the media. No agencies of society do more to emphasize trivia over substance than all current forms of media.
It is good to know that someone, Rod, is thinking about major problems.
