SDS Use at DCMA and Education Initiative

Dear Rod,
As you requested, here is the stuff I talked about today.
- Call Patsy O'Burn to broach the subject of capturing the record, and its
use in the context of predicting delivery performance and enhancing our
customer's ability to make business decisions.
- Speak to Bill Callahan, Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) about
the need to capture "the record" and ways of exploiting the material
that resides in the ACO's files.
- Reacquaint myself with Jim Balinskas, through a variety of ways
(personal note, calls, e-mail)
- Send the address for the Defense Systems Management College (DSMC)
http://www.dsmc.dsm.mil
....with a proposed entree. On the DSMC Faculty Research Projects page,
within the DSMC home page....
http://www.dsmc.dsm.mil/research/resproj.htm
.....is a complete list of ongoing and recently completed faculty
research projects.
One particular project, The Defense Program Management Body of Knowledge
(PM-R-01) (Combined with PML-R-01), has a familiar ring to those dealing
with the Program Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) The names and e-mail
address of the primary DSMC faculty members involved in the project is Bill
Bahnmaier, mailto:bahnmaier_bill@dau.mil or phone (703) 805-4980.
ROD - You may want to explain how SDS fits into the PMBOK, and suggest a
telephone call to him at some convenient time.
Thanks again for the call
Sincerely,
Stuart Harrow

I don't personally know Bill Bahnmaier, so the e-mail would be
introductory, in that your affiliation with the Project Management Institute
(PMI) may help.
