SDS Typical Day Scenario

Rod,

I read a nice "story" about daily use of SDS [in the Typical Day Scenario linked in email on March 27, 2001....]

I found it interesting, and a reasonable read. I wasn't sure if this is to provide a vision, or motivate people to work differently.

Who is the audience, and what is the expected impact of reading this?

This could be marketing copy for Microsoft Office, or the Palm Pilot. (Even if they can't really do all these things).

It reads somewhat like a Utopia, (All the data is in the right place at the right time -- Even from an attorney who never deliver anything when you need it!) and you need to assess if the customer will relate to or reject the scenario for his personal situation. This is a nice user oriented write up.

Have you tried it on other people? I may be too close to the problem.

There seems to be a mix of work practice and tool capabilities here. You need to crisp up the message a little to focus on the tool.

Also, this person multi-tasks very well. (Working while on the phone) You and I may be able to do that, but others may not relate, or want to work at the level of intensity implied in the write up.

Where is the time for analysis you always talk about.

Food for thought,

Sincerely,

Cable Network Operation

Morris
