Subject:   SDS follow up

Rod:

Thanks for the update and keeping me in the loop. After poking into that record, It sounds like things are moving ahead at SRI, although it's not clear to me exactly how. . .

I'm currently looking at protocols like RDF/RDF Schema and OIL, and mathematical models similar to conceptual graphs. I'm writing up something on this, and when available, will send you a copy.

My strong impression of SDS remains that it is an excellent design for a wide variety of KM tasks. While I regret that we cannot use SDS in its current implementation, I'd be very pleased to see it implemented within a broader (OHS?) tool, perhaps involving the kinds of systems I'm examining here. We might be able to support that work, perhaps in conjunction with SRI or some other consortium

I look forward to talking with all of you more.

Sincerely,
