Subject:   DKR best practice

Dick:

Yesterday, I had an occasion to peruse some of Rod Welch's SDS [on the Legend of Prometheus] and I was mightely impressed. Not being a Knowledge Management man (just beginning to learn a little bit thanks to the Colloquium) my head was reeling. I couldn't help but scold myself for my sloppy ways of doing things.

Your post answered one burning question: how much time and discipline does it take. We now know at least that Rod spends an hour a day nailing down a massive amount of information. Initial, seat-of-the-pants judgment, I probably waste more than that by forever scrounging all over the place for what the heck I put where. In short, it looks like time well and productively spent.

Thanks for your informative links.

I found a guy who explicitly and with computer assistance maintains his personal DKR. &c.
