Certificate Program in Advanced Project Management from Stanford University Stanford University and Integrated Project Systems (IPS) are pleased to announce that the long anticipated Advanced Project Management Program is now underway! This breakthrough program, sponsored by Stanford University, recognized as one of the leading universities in the world, offers participants two curricula leading to Certificates in Advanced Project Management from Stanford University-Certificates in Organizational Mastery and Certificates in Individual Mastery.

Initiated last year with the highly successful course, Converting Strategy into Action: Organizational Mastery of Project Management, this program will be offered on the Stanford University campus in Stanford, CA this year, and will be offered in regions around the world, and in programs delivered to organizations onsite, beginning in 2001.

This advanced project management curriculum builds on project management foundational training currently offered in the marketplace, but will take the discipline of project management to new plateaus within the business enterprise. The courses in the program, co-developed and delivered by Stanford and IPS, give participants new insight and skills in the critical areas that ultimately make the difference between organizational success and failure in today's highly competitive marketplace. The Stanford Certificate in Advanced Project Management will become a defining credential for professionals within this industry.

Converting Strategy into Action: Organizational Mastery of Project Management explores the often overlooked, yet highly critical implementation process, and offers leaders practical guidance and new approaches for creating high performance organizations. It provides an in-depth investigation of the advanced project management best practices of industry-leading organizations, combining the latest research from Stanford University, real-world applications from Fortune 500 case studies, as well as practical, hands-on lab work.

Mastering the Project Portfolio expands on the knowledge gained in the initial course, Converting Strategy, by giving senior managers clear direction on all aspects of portfolio management. Course participants learn techniques to implement and execute exceptional project portfolio and process oversight. The course concentrates on the formation of the Portfolio Management Team and aligning strategy with project priorities and resources. Participants learn how to create the registry of project work, define the organization's true resource capacity, and optimize resource allocations by ensuring their assignment to the highest priority projects.
