Dear Mr. Welch,
IBM has reviewed your letter and enclosures concerning reimbursement of expenses incurred acqui1ing the SelvicePak for OS/2 2.1. After carefully reviewing your request, and in the interest of customer satisfaction, we have decided to credit your account for $42.90, the cost of the OS/2 2.1 ServicePak as ordered fiom the TBM OS/2 Order Center (Order Number 0006906).
All files on the PCC BBS are available "AS IS" with no warranty implied. This is stated when you logon to the BBS. The majority of attempts to download files are successful, however, there is always a possibility that the software or hardware is not configured the same on both sides of the connection causing the download to fail. IBM is not responsible for phone expenses acquired during any attempt to download files from an TBM BBS.
The ServicePak has been very successful at resolving most of the outstanding issues with OS/2 2.1. The problems that were reported with installation of the ServicePak are for very specific situations. One major problem is that the installation fails while OEM video drivers are installed because they use our naming conventions. Most of the ServicePak installations not related to this are successful.
It is our understanding that your problem with Omnipage has been resolved in PMR 8X267,PSX which you worked with Jorge on May 27th. If you have any outstanding problems related to this PMR, please infolm us by calling 1-800-992-4777 to reopen the PMR. If you have to fax us PMR related infolmation, please use 1-407-443-6940.
In addition to the refund for the cost of ordering the ServicePak, we would like for you to keep the 60 days of free OS/2 Support received from ordering the ServicePak. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
